The Bargain Bin Review: Taking on the Movies No One Else Will Touch (2016)

How does one cap off a decade of covering bad movies? With a book!

Available now on Kindle or “classic” paperback formats, The Bargain Bin Review is a collection of 90 hand-crafted, artisanal reviews of bad movies. These reviews span the entire spectrum of terrible movies, from ‘Vintage Bad’ to ‘The Best of the Bad.’Along the way, I’ll take you along ‘My Road to Bad Movies,’ answering the most common question I receive: Why bad movies?

Check out these things readers are saying about The Bargain Bin Review, only one of which I made up:

I consider myself a movie buff, and I have always loved those corny B-Movies. When I heard about this book, I had to get it. It didn't disappoint. Not only is it fun to read about those movies, but Scot's reviews are very entertaining. A must read for movie buffs!

If you ever wanted to know why people enjoy bad movies, you should check this book out. Chock full of great reviews on famously bad movies and some you might not have even heard of. Plus you get an inside look on why Scot took a liking to bad movies. A must read!

“Of the many things I’ve done with my life, reading The Bargain Bin Review is by far the most worthwhile. Upon finishing it the first time, the book immediately cleared up my acne and scored me a date with the head cheerleader. I later used this book to thwart a convenience store robbery (the robbers were content to leave the store with only a copy of the book), and later still pulled my grandfather out of a coma by reading it to him. And the first thing he said after coming out of his coma? ‘Damn, that’s a good book!’”

On sale now at Amazon.

Things That I Used To Do: A Decade of Reviewing Bad Movies

But wait, there's more! I didn't just come up with the idea of The Bargain Bin Review out of the blue -- no sir! Before writing that book, I spent about a decade writing reviews of bad movies: first with my site Bargain Bin Review and then on the joint venture Your Face! (both, sadly, have joined the likes of MySpace and AltaVista in that great "404 -- Page Not Found" in the sky), not to mention the countless films we discussed on the Lair of the Unwanted podcast.

If you're somehow on the fence about purchasing a copy of The Bargain Bin Review, you can sample some of the things that I used to do with the links below.

Airplane vs. Volcano
Anaconda

Body Rock
For Y'ur Height Only
Gargoyle: Wings of Darkness
Let's Scare Jessica to Death
No Retreat, No Surrender
Reefer Madness
The Room
Slugs: The Movie
Viva Knievel!

Hallo. I’m Scot Nolan, though you might know me from reviewing and discussing bad movies over the past ten years as “Nolahn.” But this ...
